The project is ongoing and will be completed in mid-2025, but we wanted to give you an introduction to the scope of ongoing work there. Project Overview

Our work includes a comprehensive electrical design, construction, and installation package for this high-end property. Key services to be undertaken include: 

• Disconnection of the old property’s electrical system before demolition.
• Full electrical design and installation. This includes property poles, power, lighting and data solutions.
• Security and access control systems. This includes Dahua CCTV with NX Witness Video Management System, ICT Protege Access Control, and 2N IP ONE Intercom.
• Smart and connected home systems, built on Ubiquiti Wi-Fi and including audio-visual integrations.
• Energy-efficient lighting supplied by Bright Green.
• A large solar power installation. This includes a 21kW system using a Sungrow RT Three-Phase 20kW Inverter, Phono 440W Helios Solar Panels, and 40kWh of Sungrow Batteries.
• Design and installation of climate-controlled ducted air conditioning solutions, including a Daikin 60kW VRV system with multiple split-ducted units.
• Mechanical air and exhaust system design and installation for the property’s Japanese BBQ setup located inside the property. 

Our Client and Their Goals

This is a long-standing client of Voltora’s who we have worked with since 2010, largely on projects for their multinational coffee company. 

The client’s goal for this property was to integrate state-of-the-art electrical, security, and climate control systems while maintaining simplicity and efficiency. They were willing to be guided by our electrician team, who steered them away from an impractical partial lighting automation plan towards a conventional switching system.

Scope of Work

Throughout the project, our team of Brisbane electricians has been responsible for:

-Electrical rough-in and final installation.

-AV system design, rough-in, and commissioning.

-Solar system integration.

-Lighting and data network setup.

–CCTV and security infrastructure.

-Access control implementation.

-Air conditioning and mechanical exhaust system installations.

Challenges & Solutions

Every job brings challenges, but as gold-rated Master Electricians the Voltora crew are well equipped to take them on. On this project, we discovered that 11kV high-voltage powerlines at the front of the property had not been accounted for in the build plans for the house. 

This issue halted progress and required an extensive redesign. We took charge of the entire relocation process, which involved handling the electrical design and conduit works while coordinating with Energex to have the powerlines relocated. This unforeseen issue caused significant delays to the project getting underway, but our proactive management ensured that work could resume with minimal disruptions once it was sorted out.
